The HeadBiB™ Story

The HeadBiB™ was founded on a love of food... and a hatred of cleaning.​

When my daughter started eating solids, I was excited for her to explore new flavors, textures, and a whole new world that I personally spend too much of my life thinking about (who doesn't love food?). But the excitement did not last long when I realized I was spending more time on the post meal bath and clean up than we were on the actual mealtime.

​I enjoyed watching my daughter try to find her mouth with her avocado-y hands, but also cringed every time those food laden hands found their way to the top of her head - her attempt at a new "hair-do" each time. ​

I searched for a head bib online, I found nothing. For this reason, using my engineering background, I designed the 'original' HeadBiB.​

After many attempts, the 'original' HeadBiB and BasicBiB designed with a deeper pocket was born!​

My hope is that the HeadBiB™ and BasicBiB will save you a little bit of sanity, a lot of time bathing, and bring the joy of mealtimes back into your lives.

RyKo and Lo

As a former engineer, I have always loved problem solving and efficiency. I realized how little quality time was spent on the actual mealtime compared to the aftermath. My mission was to come up with a solution to bring joy back into mealtimes.

There were products missing in the market and I knew they were products that could potentially help a lot of parents and caregivers.

My company, RyKo and Lo was created for the 'original' HeadBiB™ and BasicBiB products that were designed by a Colorado mom and manufactured in the United States of America. ​

RyKo and Lo is named after my two daughters, Ryleigh Kona and Lola. Lola is my little girl too, a very loved member of the family, although four legged, and perhaps, not so little! ​

These two are my inspiration, my motivation, and my why.
